Senior journalist and the President,Khagen Kalita was felicitated by Rtn. Gautam Sharma with a fulam gamosa and a citation, while Amarendra Deka and Press Club President Pradip Barman were honoured by PDG Rtn. Prabhat Kedia and Rtn. Gajendra Khound. Khagen Kalita later delivered a thought-provoking address on the challenges faced by journalists, highlighting professional pressures, political influence, and the need for ethical and unbiased reporting. He also paid tribute to veteran journalist P. G. Baruah of The Assam Tribune for his courageous contributions to journalism.
